Visitation for Sister Francis Assisi will be on November 3, 2017, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in Nazareth Court and Center, 375 Gillett Street, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Both of Lorettas parents died of cancer by the time she was ten years old. In October of 2016, Sister Ruth Ann joined the community of CSA sisters at Nazareth Court and Center in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. In this setting, she received the care and support she needed to face the effects of her failing health until the time of her death. She made her profession of vows in the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes as Sister Mary Robert on August 15, 1945. She was awarded the James R. Underkofler Excellence in Teaching Award in 1992, was awarded Professor Emerita by the Marian College Board of Trustees in 1995 and was among the recipients of the first annual Windy Award in 2001. She contributed her gifts in numerous ways: judging art exhibits; leading art workshops; designing logos, signage, publications and cards for individuals and events; promoting Marians Heritage Festival of the Arts from its beginning. Sister Ruth Ann earned her B.S. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary, Alton. A private Mass of Christian Burial for Sister Bertha Ann will be held on April 7, 2021, in the Nazareth Center Chapel, 375 Gillett Street, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, with Father Ken Smits, Capuchin, presiding. Marilyn entered St. Agnes Convent in 1953 and attended St. Agnes High School, receiving a diploma in 1955. Sister Rachels brother Wilfred also passed away on December 11, 2020. Although she received her nursing certificate through the Sisters of St. Agnes, she was not interested in joining their community and began investigating missionary communities of women religious. In 1988, Sister joined the faculty of Marian College of Fond du Lac working as a counselor in the Student Life Program. She attended St. Agnes High School, graduating in 1950. The Sisters of St. Agnes are grateful to the nurses and staff of Nazareth Court and Center, St. Francis Home, and Hospice Hope for their care of Sister Cecelia during her final years. She would often personally deliver supplies of clothing, food, and furniture to support families as they settled in the Fond du Lac community.
